Port of Rochester Time Trial Friday August 8 from 1 p.m to 3:15 p.m.

The Rochester Time Trial is a very flat 4 mile out-and-back course that starts and ends at the Port of Rochester.

Please note that this event is open to pro/1/2 teams only.

What is a time trial, anyway?

Sometimes called the "race of truth", a time trial is a bicycle race where each rider completes the course individually with no assitance of any kind from their teammates. The riders leave the starting house one at a time, each separated by 60 seconds from the previous rider.

Time trials offer no opportunities for attacks, team strategies, or drafting. There is no hiding. The riders compete against the clock as much as they compete against each other. When all of the times have been tallied, the rider with the fastest time wins.
